My mum has been to the garden centre twice this morning; the second time was because she needed twine, and the first time she went it wasn't open because it's Sunday and it doesn't open until 10am. But she said it wasn't a wasted journey, because the first time she went, she slowly followed a hare along a stretch of the little road, until a car came the other way and it "climbed the wall like a cat", which we both thought was interesting.
I'm glad that you are - hopefully - getting some useful help x
I am somewhat expert at going to places that aren’t open yet. It’s amazing to watch hares closely - people think they are rabbits but they are so tall when they want to be. They do all sorts of things rabbits can’t
Such a beautiful carving! We have lots of rabbits in my hometown, but I don't think I've ever seen a hare. They sound formidable. I loved reading your observations from the lake and about life's mysteries. Sending many good wishes for solving the tiring ones. :)
I believe an American hare is called a jack rabbit- which is short for jackass rabbit. Which I suppose is an American way of saying they are big and deer like
I'm obsessed with hares, they seem otherworldly and it's easy to see why they've been considered to be shape shifters ...I would love one of those hare prints! I have one of your hare brooches from ages ago. I'm currently doing preliminary stuff for checking my probably neuro divergent brain, I've been holding back on it for years but it's finally time X I loved reading about the swan! 😂Yes, animals have personalities! Some are angry, some are idiots!
I enjoyed reading this so much - the arse of a swan and all. I enjoy your observations of wild things as I live in a different sphere of things to write about. On being different - I remember when my son was diagnosed as autistic aged three and willing the psychiatrist to say: and you too whilst we’re at it mum - oh and also you Dad. But that didn’t happen. Years later a therapist told me: maybe it’s better you don’t know, some people don’t enjoy having a label. Thanks therapist for giving me a blank label, no thanks! Anyway, I ramble… your carvings are otherworldly to me and I look forward to seeing and reading them whatever you share.
That annoys me because we get labelled- over sensitive, difficult, all sorts of stuff would it be so bad to get one which means your rights are legally protected? I’ve historically not done well in therapy. Can’t imagine why. I feel we work in similar spheres though; making up little stories about the neighbours x

Hares are actually magical creatures, like unicorns, which is why they also appear in those exquisite tapestries…
This is very true.
